Welcome, Friends!
This is the Florida Library Association’s newest blog, “Florida Friends” and it’s especially for Friends of Library groups in Florida.
The purpose of this blog is to give you a place to share news about your Friends of the Library group. We want to hear about your exciting programs. Tell us about your fundraising projects. Share your frustrations. Brag about the great things you’re doing.
In addition to connecting online, plan to join folks from other Friends of Library groups for in-person regional workshops in November 2008 and January 2009. These workshops are sponsored by the Friends, Foundations & Boards (FF&B) member group of the Florida Library Association. More information will be coming soon. Meanwhile, hold these dates:
Monday, November 3, 2008 – Lake City, Columbia County Public Library
Wednesday, November 5, 2008– Largo, Largo Public Library
Thursday, January 15, 2009 – Coconut Creek, Broward North Regional/BCC Library
Friday, January 16, 2009 – Estero, Lee South County Regional Library
